Bio

Tanyn Lyndon’s career in surf lifesaving started with him following his sister around Lennox Head beach when he was just 3 years old. He quickly became a nipper and eventually a competitor with a dream to become a Nutri-Grain IronMan. After school Lyndon relocated to the Gold Coast, and ten years ago, found himself standing next to his idol Zane Holmes on an elite series starting line. Outside of competing Lyndon is a full time carpenter and is expecting the arrival of his first child.

Tanyn, how old were you when you started surf lifesaving and why?

3, when my sister started nippers.

Your advice for aspiring Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain athletes?

Be sure to secure a career away from the sport.

How much fun I’m about to have.

What do you think about during a race?

Tanyn, what has been a high and low in your IronMan journey?

High: Getting the opportunity to race alongside people I have idolised for so long!

Low: Battling injuries is always tough.

What is your go-to meal before a carnival?

Burritos.
