She now has the opportunity to compete in her first full Nutri-Grain Series in 2023/24. She also enjoy baking, going to the beach and spending time with friends.

Charlotte, how old were you when youstarted surf lifesaving and why?

5 years old, as my parents wanted me to have the skills to be able to safely swim in the ocean.

Who was your hero growing up in and out of surf lifesaving?

Brielle Cooper.
I had the opportunity to train with Brielle in my final few years a North Burleigh and she was always such a hard worker and always willing to give advice and help me develop my skills.

What is the best piece of advice that you have ever been given?

Michael King –
“Don’t race the name , race the person.”

Your advice for aspiring Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain athletes?

You will have good days and bad days, and nothing will happen overnight, it takes hard work and patience.

What do you think about on the start line?

Breathing and trying to remain calm and what I’m going to do through the shorebreak.

Charlotte, what has been a high and low in your IronWoman journey?

High: Called up to the 2020/21 Rounds 3-6 in the Nutri-Grain Series.

Low: Injured for 3 months with bludged disk in the 2022/23 season.

How do you relax away from competition?

I love jet skiing, cooking and chilling with my friends!

Do you have a secret talent?

I can juggle!
