Bio
2024 Shaw and Partners Coolangatta Gold Short Course champion, Mitchell Stitt, started his surf lifesaving journey at Kawana SLSC as a young U8’s Nipper when his parents signed him up to learn how to read and understand the surf. His first medal came in the U11’s swim teams when he won a silver medal and his love for the sport grew from there. Growing up he was a state pool swimming and track athlete but chose surf sports as his focus as he enjoyed it the most. After moving to Surfers Paradise in 2023 to achieve his ambition of being part of the Iron Series, the athlete also has big ambitions career-wise and is working towards becoming a physio.
