Hailing from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Georgia Miller is a member of a highly prestigious group within Australian surf sports. Called a Triple Crown, Miller won the Coolangatta Gold, a Nutri-Grain Iron Series and an Australian Ironwoman title all within the same season. This incredible feat came immediately after she moved to the Gold Coast to pursue a professional IronWoman career. Miller is currently a member of the Australian Lifesaving Team, and was crowned the SLSA National Surf Sport Athlete of the Year in 2021.
Georgia, how old were you when youstarted surf lifesaving and why?
Started in U/6’s at nippers as my sisters competed.
Who was your hero growing up in surf lifesaving?
Naomi Flood, she was always such a fierce competitor and she was from where I grew up so I got to watch her train and race all the time.
What is the best piece of advice that you have ever been given?
It will hurt, it will take time, there will be failures but in the end it will all be worth it.
Your advice for aspiring Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain athletes?
Outside of your comfort zone is where the magic happens
What do you think about during a race?
One leg at a time and stay present.
Georgia, what has been a high in your IronWoman journey?
High: Winning the Triple Crown.
Do you have any race day superstitions?
I have a specific stretching routine.
Do you have any secret talents?
No, nothing, I am pretty boring in that regard!
