Bio
Direct from New Zealand’s Midway SLSC, Olivia Corrin followed her IronWoman dream across the ‘Tasman when she relocated to the Gold Coast. Now competing and patrolling with BMD Northcliffe SLSC, Corrin trains side-by-side with her own surf lifesaving idols and fellow Nutri-Grain Series IronWomen; Gerogia Miller, Harriet Brown, Maddy Dunn and Danielle McKenzie. Always striving to be at her best, Corrin considers competing against the best and learning from them to be the true high of her career.
Olivia, how old were you when youstarted surf lifesaving and why?
5 years old. My family loved going to the beach and we grew up around water.
Who was your hero growing up in surf lifesaving?
My surf lifesaving idols are Georgia Miller, Harriet Brown, Maddy Dunn and Danielle Mackenzie because they have been in the Nutri-Grain Series for a while now and I get to train beside the best everyday and learn from them.
What is the best piece of advice that you have ever been given?
Think about the process, not the outcome.
Your advice for aspiring Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain athletes?
Enjoy what you’re doing and have fun.
What do you think about during a race?
I look for every little opportunity I can find to help make my race better.
Who is your biggest competition in the 20/21 Nutri-Grain Series?
All of the girls. They are all super talents.
Olivia, what has been a high and low in your IronWoman journey?
High: Getting to race against my idols and gain experience by learning how they execute their races.
Low: Relocating to the Gold Coast has been difficult – but worth it!
Do you have any secret talents?
I can dislocate my pinky toes!
