Bio

Brayden Casamento grew up in Warrnambool, Victoria and made the move to the Sunshine Coast four years ago pursuing a lifestyle change and better opportunities to crack into the Iron Series. And crack into it he has – after entering the 2024/25 Shaw and Partners Iron Series with an impressive showing at the Trial Round, presented by Race One Surf Craft, Casamento earned himself an auto-qualification with a top-12 finish in the Grand Eliminator. Recently, he also enjoyed an excellent showing at the 2024 World Champs, claiming a 1st in the Mixed Ocean Lifesaver Relay alongside teammates, Jett Kenny, Emma Woods, and Lani Pallister. Outside of training and competing, Casamento is a full-time accountant.

No matter where you start or grew up, with hard work and dedication you can achieve great results and goals. Don’t give up.

Do you have any race superstitions?

Not anymore, but as a nipper I used to have to race with my cap inside out.

Lana, what has been a high and low in your IronWoman journey?

High: Requalifying and finishing 12th in my debut season with a couple of top 10 finishes.

Low: Is the amount of hard work I’ve put in with little results in the process.

Movies. Cards. Board Games.
