Bio
Holly Holmesby’s connection to surf lifesaving runs deep, with her mum and extended family representing Australia and collectively claiming multiple medals at both Australian and World Championships. Originally from Wollongong, Holmesby started Nippers in the U6s at Towradgi SLSC before moving to the Gold Coast after finishing high school. Now representing Burleigh Heads Mowbray Park, the 22-year-old is set to make her debut in the Shaw and Partners Iron Series. Away from training and racing, Holmesby studied to become a canine hydrotherapist and now works in content creation and marketing at Engine Swim.

Specialist. Get the chance to do each discipline and play to your strengths.
What is your best training hack?
No point winning the warm-up at training – use it for what it’s there for.
What is the best piece of advice that you have ever been given?
Control the controllables (effort, attitude, recovery, equipment and race execution). Everything else is only noise.
What is your day-to-day routine?
4:15 alarm.
4:45-6:15 swim
9-3pm Work @ Engine swim
4-6:30 afternoon training
