Bio
Growing up on the Sunshine Coast, Dakota Luke’s childhood dream was making the Shaw and Partners Iron Series. During that time, fellow Shaw and Partners Female Iron Athlete Jasmine Rayward was in her ear about relocating to the Gold Coast, and joining her at Burleigh Heads Mowbray Park SLSC so they could compete in Double Ski races. Luke eventually made the move once she finished High School, and have since won two Australian titles in the Double Ski together (2025 in the U19, 2026 in Open). Outside of Iron racing, Luke has raced IRBs for her Nipper club, Kawana Beach SLSC.
Dakota, which race format is your favourite?
Super Sprint.
I like chasing the pack on the last race and everyone is more spread out, its more tactical.
What is your best training hack?
NEVER wash your hair the night before swimming.
What is the best piece of advice that you have ever been given?
So cliche – never give up.
