Ethan Callaghan made his Shaw and Partners Iron Series debut in the red lycra of the Next Gen champion, and after exploding on to the scene with an opening round podium finish, earned himself auto-requalification to the 2025/26 competition. Callaghan’s incredible rise continued into his second professional season, finishing third in the 2025/26 Shaw and Partners Iron Series, before claiming the Open Ironman and Open Board races at the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships. He credits surf lifesaving with helping him create lifelong friends and he enjoys working on his car and going four-wheel driving.
