Bio

Jy Timperley’s surf lifesaving career begun at the tender age of 8 at Byron Bay SLSC. He found a love for competing, and so the man affectionately known as The Shrimp decided to become a Nutri-Grain IronMan. Timperley earned his place in the 2019/20 Iron Series through a strong performance in the Trial round, but after going from strength to strength in the iron Series proper and finishing in 7th, the young Shrimp has earned an automatic selection in the 2020/21 competition.
