Marley O’Rourke has been part of BMD Northcliffe since his nipper days in the U8s and now takes the next step in his surf sports journey with his debut in the Shaw and Partners Iron Series. The 18-year-old spent eight years living in South Africa and has Irish heritage through his father. Away from competition, O’Rourke is studying Architecture at university and works as a Gold Coast lifeguard.

The Specialist because we get to do a Board Race.
What is your race day routine?
Two bowls of Rice Bubbles with sugar.
What is the best piece of advice that you have ever been given?
If you are leading and feel tired imagine how tired the other people behind you are feeling.
