Grace, how old were you when you started surf lifesaving and why?

My parents put me into nippers when I was in under 8s so that I would be comfortable going to the beach and swimming which I think is such a valuable skill to have especially living so close to the beach.

Who was your hero growing up in and out of surf lifesaving?

Recently Lizzie Welborn, she is a great athlete and I love watching her race.

What is the best piece of advice that you have ever been given?

Focus on what you can control.

Your advice for aspiring Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain athletes?

To surround yourself with supportive people. And just enjoy the process!

What do you think about during a race?

Having a good start, getting out to the back of the break cleanly, and then getting around the can.

Grace, what has been a high and low in your IronWoman journey?

High: Winning the 2022 Nutri-Grain Next Gen.

Low: Being iron deficient in the 2021 season.

What do you think about on the start line?

Having a good start to setup my race.

Do you have a secret talent?

Beating my roommate’s at Mario cart!
